Description of Course:
The Asian and African Studies program, initiated in 2014, is a challenging 5-year program crafted to offer students advanced knowledge and insight into specific regions of Asia and Africa. The curriculum encompasses intensive language training, multidisciplinary area studies, and disciplinary concentrations. Students not only acquire the methodology of the humanities and social sciences but also engage in independent research. Proficiency in two or more regional languages is developed, and students undergo a state exam before graduating. The program is inherently flexible, allowing students to customize their studies to align with their unique interests and career aspirations. In the third year, students have the opportunity to select a block of elective disciplines (disciplinary concentration) and a minor, adding depth to their academic journey.
